SUNNYFEEL Oversized Padded High-Back Hiking Chair

I wouldn't call this a backpacking chair but more of a compact lightweight car camping chair. It's quite comfortable but you do have to make sure you get the arm areas folded down so they act as arm rests. I suspect over time they will stay in a more comfortable position without thought but that will take some time. It's very well made and has nice details that make it easy to put together. Specifically some nice heavy pull tabs so you can put the seat onto the poles. If you've ever put together one of these chairs you'll know this can be a problem if it doesn't have these. Makes it super easy to setup and take down. It also fits back in the bag easily another issue I've had with other chairs. You just pull the seat off put all the poles down and secure them with the attached velcro and put it in the bag. It's not like you have to fit it in perfectly to get it to zip. Super easy. The headrest is surprisingly comfortable as well though I could do without the giant Sunnyfeel name printed on it. It has a long section of velcro making it easy to reposition for different heights. Great value for the money for a comfortable, easy to setup/take down, well made, and sturdy chair.

I tried assembling this w/o reading the instructions and it went pretty well. Not b/c I'm a macho man but b/c I probably don't want to have to bust out the manual if I'm camping or want to sit after a long day of hiking. The rods are all connected by an elastic cord that has enough give to pull them out of their locking positions to let the end rods slip into the dedicated sleeves on the fabric to mount it. All parts' rods are segmented into enough parts that it's easy to temporarily pull out the rod to mount the backing and push back into locking position w/o too much trouble. Once assembled, I felt it was fairly stable and I'm 260lb/5'8". I also like that the headrest is removable and there's room for adjusting its height on the back for people of different heights and builds. My 5'1" mother was able to make it go under her neck as well. I also appreciate that packing it up is easy too. You just pull our all the rods, fold them into a roughly cylinder shape and secure it w/ the velcro strap. Then, wrap the fabric backing around it and put the whole thing in the bag. Pretty idiot proof. Overall, I think this is definitely one of the better camp chairs, and fairly lightweight and compact once zipped up for travel. I think the ease of assembly, packing up, and carrying makes the premium worth it.

This has to be the most comfortable folding chair I have ever sat in ...no exaggeration! It held up to my 190lbs with no wobbles or give in the material. There was even a slight "rocking" you can do while sitting. This chair was so comfortable it was cat approved 🤣. Here are my initial thoughts on this product: When the product arrived I didn't expect it to be so large. This is NOT a portable camp chair (unless you go to outings by car, you won't be just "carrying" this beast around) The chair is full sized! It is easy to set up. Once you undo the support strap the legs and back basically pop into place. The chair is made of this light weight canvas material and pops on to each point with ease. Each point is reinforced so it's not just going to give out on you while you sit. There are directions enclosed but it was easy to figure out. The reason for 4 stars is folding it away... It was a nuisance getting all the piping to stay collapsed as you tried to pull it together. Then I had difficulty putting it back in the carry bag. Once I got it in I couldn't get it to zip close. I'm sure this has to be user error but nonetheless still frustrating. Honestly, despite not being small, I'd purchase another one. This chair would be great for tailgates, kids sporting events and family picnics and outings. My personal preference is I'm not carrying this huge chair around but for any other outside activities I say have at it. It's a good buy.

We've had the same folding chairs for years and they are starting to get worn out. Ordered this chair to replace one of them and was excited to try this high back design. This chair comes with 3 pieces- the chair pad, the folding metal frame, and the storage bag. To assemble, the frame pieces pull out then slide into one another- a lot like assembling a tent pole. You'll want to slide the back of the cushion over the frame first and then the front. The fit is really snug over the frame so when you attach the front you have to pull on it with a bit of strength to get it to slide over the frame. Thankfully the front has loops that you can hold onto to help you pull it over the frame. The chair is oversized compared to most camping chairs and I can curl my legs up and sit in it. The back is high so would work well for taller people as well. The material is water and stain resistant and the sewing is well done. The arms are cushy and there is a side storage pouch. It feels sturdy when you sit in it and the frame is metal. It takes a bit of work to fold the cushion back up tight enough to get it back into the storage bag with the frame. If you want a chair that just folds up and pops out easily, this may not be the model you want because you do have to slide the frame pieces together and put the cushion over it each time you want to use it.
